TEND:
an 8-week therapeutic group to help you develop an empowered and supportive relationship with your anxiety
So many of us struggle with anxiety. In our modern world, it’s hard to avoid the sensations of urgency and worry. You are not alone in grappling with this.
For eight weeks, we’ll gather together to collectively hold our shared anxiety with the intention of cultivating more calm and ease in our lives.
Bring your anxious parts to the circle, and we’ll hold them together.
This is more than just a therapy group, it’s an experience of tapping into the felt sense of calm in your body.
While we’ll be covering tools and skills for supporting ourselves in anxious moments, we’ll also be deepening into a space of shared wisdom.
We’ll create a safe and peaceful energy in our physical space together so your nervous system can practice accessing a more regulated space.
Let this be a soothing watering hole for you to sip from each week.
You feel a certain degree of anxiety all the time and you’re getting frustrated. You’ve tried everything you can think of but it still feels like there’s a knot in your chest you can’t move.
This is for you if:
You have anxiety in regards to specific situations, such as social settings, and want to find ways to manage your emotional reactions.
You feel alone with the struggles you’re having with anxiety and want support.
This round of TEND is open to women only (including trans women).
Here’s some of what we’ll explore throughout our time together:
Understanding our experience of anxiety - identify the root of your fear and how anxiety shows up in your body
Responding to anxiety with the mind - learn cognitive tools to help you respond to anxiety by shifting your thought patterns
Grounding techniques - cultivate a toolbox to draw from in the day-to-day
Responding to anxiety with the body - learn how to regulate your nervous system using somatic approaches
Emotional processing of anxiety - identify underlying emotions and learn to feel your way through
Befriending your anxiety - develop compassion and understanding for the anxious part of you
Tending to yourself in the world - identify how the broader systems at play are impacting you
Releasing pressure + expectations - cultivate room to breathe in your life

A little bit about me…
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I see clients in person on Salt Spring Island and online elsewhere.
I specialize in working with women and teen girls who want to unfold into the most fully expressed versions of themselves.
As someone who has gone through my own struggles with anxiety, depression, and a severance from self-trust, I know first hand how hard this work can be. And, I know the clarity and confidence that can come from facing what feels too dark to hold, doing the work of healing those wounds, and turning toward the light instead.
While I will always be evolving, I have spent my whole adult life in the dance of becoming. Becoming braver, kinder versions of myself, taking on new roles and identities, and stepping more and more into the life I have always longed for.
